Which Planet Has the Best Eclipse?
Check out the interactive lab here: labs.minutelabs.io/eclipses/
Solar eclipses don't just happen here on earth - moons of other planets also pass between those planets and the sun, resulting in various types of solar eclipses on Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and even non-planets like Pluto, Eris and various asteroids. So, where are the best eclipses in the solar system? For that, we need a tier list.

Why Do Eclipses Travel WEST to EAST?
Просмотров 276 тыс.2 месяца назад
The sun rises in the east, the moon rises in the east, and the stars rise in the east... but solar eclipses, oddly, come from the west. If total eclipses are caused by the sun and the moon, why don't they behave like the sun and the moon? Gravity isn’t a force and general relativity can be reduced to closely resemble Newton’s law. Gravity is the result of mass moving through space time. How can you expect to measure the impact of something really small in comparison to a mass the size of the earth?

I would love to see "Triangle" (2009) on this video. It is an amazing way to use time for an intricate plot without using the "change the past" or "create a new timeline" tropes. As much as I like Harry Potter, I think their time travel isn't good. If I would go back to change something that would already be changed, then I would never had the necessity to do it (I wont use the word! heheh). And you are wrong in assuming it is consistent, because it has plot armor...think, there is nothing that makes someone not to use time turners to undo what was undone but the plot. Also, if time turner is a thing, just use it to defeat Voldemort when he visits Harry's parents or something the protagonists know...they don't do it because of, yes, plot. If there wasn't a heavy plot armor in place, this time travel would be even worse than it is.

Newtonian derivation of E = mc² In Newton’s law: Force = mass x acceleration (Areal velocity = constant is included in Newton’s law) Newton’s gravity law F = - (G m M /r2) r1 Acceleration in mathematical form is: (rʹʹ - r θʹ2) r1 + (2 rʹ θʹ + r θʹʹ) θ1 Force = mass x acceleration = m x [(rʹʹ - r θʹ2) r1 + (2 rʹ θʹ + r θʹʹ) θ1]; Force = F = mass x acceleration = - (G m M /r2) r1 And m (rʹʹ - r θʹ2) = -G m M /r2 ---Newton’s gravitational force law. So the sun gives me heat and makes me way too hot. Then the sun evaporates the sweat off my body, taking away the heat from my body, which is much better than it being cold. So if I'm hot and sweaty, the ideal scenario to be in for the most effective heat reduction (other than being submerged) is the same scenario causing me to be too hot and sweaty. Gotta love reality.

I see the portals as connecting distant points in space as if they were adjacent. They cannot push on things. The objects they’re attached to can though. Also, I agree. No insides for the portals they are 2D structures. That creates an interesting situation with the two portals moving towards each other with a block in the middle. I think in that case the box in the middle ends up being crushed. What is happening is that the locations on either side of the box are getting closer. The box has nothing to push against except itself. Because the box can’t exert force on the portals, they don’t even slow down. They essentially have infinite effective force on the object between them. So the object simply crushes itself. If the portals actually meet, you’ve just made a black hole out of your box. Great way to crush anything for essentially no energy input. Pretty sure I just invented a device with a potential efficiency greater than 1. Let’s imagine a bladder of air or water between the two portals. If the fluid gets squeezed out, that turns a turbine which is attached a piston system that pushes the portals closer together and then farther apart, ensuring it doesn’t squish the bladder/bellows too much. When you start it off, you push it with N energy. Normally, that could only push out the appropriate amount of fluid commensurate with the initial energy applied. But if the portals get close together, then they might squeeze out essentially all of the fluid. Let’s make it water so it doesn’t compress. Because it has no feedback to slow down the portals pushing together, you’re getting a whole lot of energy out that would then get fed back in to push the portals even faster, which would output even more. This accelerates until some part of the mechanism fails because it can’t handle the torque of moving that fast.

The ground doesn’t really rise up to meet the baseball when I toss it up in the air. From the perspective of the universe as a whole, size does matter. Imagine the poor astronomers if the Solar system really went sprinting across the galaxy whenever we launched a space probe.
